24/06/10:
We have been advised that there will not be an Open Day at the Gwent Police HQ this year. It also appears that there will also not be an "Out of the Blue" event with the Emergency Services.

06/06/10:
Our Group Meeting to be held on Wednesday 23 June will be taking place at Pontypool CC.

Ryder Cup Golf Tournament: We have been advised that RAYNET assistance will not be required for the event itself, but we will be included in the plans for any major incident.

24/05/10:
Group Meetings for the remainder of 2010: Group Meeting dates have been amended to avoid the third Wednesday of the month. This is to prevent clashing with meetings of the South Glamorgan Group so that members from "SG" or Gwent can attend the other Group's meetings. From 2011, Group Meetings are expected to be held on a monthly basis.

Gwent RAYNET Newsletter: After a period of non-publication, it is hoped to start producing a newsletter again. We hope to have a "July 2010" issue available during July. Dave GW8SZL has kindly offered to take on production of the newsletter, copies of which will be placed on our downloads page.

Group Committee: Following the departure of Dave Rudderham, his post on the Group Committee has been taken up by Robert Parry GW4VCL.
